Stone Chips - Protective Film

I very rarely buy new cars, as I normally go for demonstrators. But in anticipation of the new Cali I am considering getting protective film put on the front of the vehicle to help save it from stone chips. This is a job you really need to do immediately following purchase if you go to the expense at all

Are these cars prone to stone chips pls ? Has anyone put protective film on ? Any recommendations ?

Probably tempting fate saying this but I have a 12 month old Cali with 12k miles on the clock and no stone chips yet, thats a mixture of motorway and country lane driving. On previous cars i would of had at least half a dozen by now.

I got a biggish one (approx 2mm) two weeks after getting ours - arrghhh! I have the touch up paint ready for the next dry spell!
