T4 California sliding door window replacement

The window in my sliding door got smashed by next door's scaffolder. I finally got a replacement from Cali Campers today.
The only thing is the original fixed window looks like it was bonded in and there are no mounting holes around the aperture. The replacement is a sliding unit like on the kitchen side and has 10 mounting lugs around the edges, it's all I could get. Seems the available solutions are
a) cut off the lugs and bond it in as the original would have been fitted.
b) drill out the 10 mounting holes around the aperture. However, I'm not sure if this method would interfere with the trim around the door on the inside.
Anyone had experience of this?
