I have been asked by enough people to give more details of what I’ve done to my California before leaving the UK to make it fit for travel in Africa. The short answer is not that much but there’s lots of points of details of which some is good some of which are not so good. To that end, on my polarsteps site I am putting details of what I’ve done and I’m very happy to give more detail privately to people or on this site if there is general interest
