Has anyone come across a guide comparing the specifications/options of each T6.1 model, including the "edition" versions? I downloaded the price list, but I don't know if it's comprehensive because when you start configuring your van, it seems like the options are endless. I've been scouring the internet for some kind of simplified comparison, but so far have had no luck.

Download the brochure, not the price list - the brochures usually have a comparison chart in the back. You can also use the comparison check on the website.

Oh, be prepared to invest some serious time to figure it out. I had to scour the VW site, endless hours with the configurator, visit the dealer at least three times, and many emails back and forth, then go back and correct the dealer which was partially as confused as I was.

TBH I think it's a big mess, but VW has little pressure to sort it out as long as the sales keep rolling in, waiting times are as long as they are, and there's no serious competition in the category :headbang

When it comes to options, the brochure might not be totally up to date in terms of what’s currently available, and also which options are mutually exclusive, and which are needed together. Configurator is a bit better at doing this, but from our experience the selected options still needed checking by a knowledgable dealer. The brochure is better than Configurator in terms of understanding how features work.

It's definitely overwhelming. I have the added complication that I am buying it in Germany, but not totally fluent in German. I've used the UK configurator a bit, but I'm not confident that the configurations/options are the same so it's a lot of back and forth.

Thanks. I was able to translate the German brochure (since I'm buying in that market) and it's pretty detailed, but I guess the other complication is that I don't understand the difference between half of these options, so we definitely need to discuss with the dealership. Just trying to narrow things down before we move to that step.

I think the best way is to make a list of must-haves and then work through the configurator some will be extras some will be standard. Other things will be "ah that would be nice" then it will be is it worth the extra cost?

Thanks, that's a good way to break it down.
