T6 beach 240v socket

Hi all still trying to find out where everything is on our new calli.
I trying to find out if the 240v socket should work without being connected to the mains. ie is there an inverter which would supplies mains from 12v or is it just when your hooked up.

No invertor on the Beach. Has to be on hook up to work.
