First serious ( not huddled with roof down and heater on while gales beset) sunny weather trip to West Cornwall - all going exceptionally well - brilliant campsite at Treen nr St Buryan that many of you will know, stunning views out to the Long ships lighthouse and across the bay to the Minack Theatre , perfect weather once the mists had cleared. Then began trying to remember all the stuff from the 2 hour handover back in November. Could not remember how to release the awning legs and began puzzling over many other things when - on a newarly empty campsite a 2015 California pulled up and parked next to Herman ( pic attached ) with John, Susie and daughter in ( as it emerged ) Martin's new hire Cali. Clearly Martin's handover had been much better absorbed by John who solved the first problem and over the course of the next 24 hours -
How to stop the internal alarm going off ( I had not remembered the magic switch behind the drivers seat ) & why the roof would not retract ( must learn to follow instructions )...
Must be some kind of Cali deity out there directing help towards the most inept..... so thanks again to John for the patience ( we will overlook the barely concealed mirth at my struggles) and Martin for the briefing..,..
