Toll calculator - tollguru?

We generally like to avoid using the motorways these days in France. It can be more pleasant travelling along the “B roads” and of course it can save money too. Of course, there are occasions when we prefer speed. We generally use Google Maps to determine a route between two places. It is good at telling you how long a journey will take, but doesn’t tell you the price of the tolls. When deciding on the best route, it would be nice to know how much any toll might be.

I thought that there must be an app for this and a quick investigation unearthed “TollGuru“. It seems to cover all of Europe which sounds useful. Has anyone used this? Or, are there any recommendations for another app or system?

Thanks very much. I’ve downloaded that now and I’m happy to confirm that it still works. Surprising perhaps that google maps doesn’t include this functionality.

That’s good to know, many thanks for the feedback. It used to give vignette charges as well from memory which was useful if routes passed through Austria, Switzerland etc.

Waze does it too. But not sure how accurate it is compared to Via Michelin. It claims it’s based on data provided by users so not based on any official database of toll charges.
