Calais to Pontresina

Hi all,

We have booked a site in Pontresina. We are wanting to have a stop over for one night on the way nearer to the Swiss border side of France. I have tried a quick search for some threads but can't seem to find anything. Would anyone be able to offer any recommendations either to already existing threads, or personal experiences?
Also are there any recommendations on which route to take which is fairly direct but to reduce the cost of the tolls?
