Just had the touch screen repaired on my T6. Took about 30 mins and cost £140. Surprised how easy it was to remove the media unit - I was too scared to do it! Took the chap at the repair centre about a minute to get it out. For reference he pulled the left side of the air vents loose first then worked along with a plastic tool to free the other side. Four screws then to remove the unit. All the wires on the back appeared to be colour coded and easy to pull out and refit. While I was there three other VWs (two cars and a pickup) had the same repair!
