Towing a car

Anyone have much experience towing a car with their California…?
I have to take the car to the garage next week, 35miles and am considering hiring a car trailer to transport the car to the workshop?

Anything I need to be mindful of…?

Only need to keep the combined trailer and car weight within the 2700kgs limit.
Separate insurance will be needed for trailer & car.

Might actually be cheaper to get Taxis or hire a small car for the home & back process.

Nor had I until Insurance advised that only up to 750kgs trailer is covered by Cali's cover.
