When I was riding a motorbike (Sold it to afford a California) I always planned my trips using http://www.furkot.com
I have now started planning my return trip with my Cali this summer from the Austrian dealer that I bought it from.

It is free to use, they get their revenue if you book hotels etc using them.

When i plan a trip , usually it gets a diffrent direction half way the first day.....
Would not work for me these tripplanners

I tend to use this one as it gives tolls (where relevant) and alternative routes. Rarely stick to it but it gives some idea of the costs involved.
