Planned it a few times but never actually got there , as they say it is the second most visited touristic attraction in France next to the Eifel tower ( don't know the thru numbers).
Heard nothing but good about it as beeing magnificent , world heritage , unique ,...

We left on sathurday 6/11 afther lunchtime , home near Antwerp direction Normandie .
Arriving at Cap Gris Nez afther 275km , as it was late afthernoon parked up and took a 2,5 h walk allong the beach from Cap Gris Nez to Wissant and back...amazing beach with mossels growing on wooden poles , as they where taking them off with a special disgned tracktor.

The free camperspot we took was a street ending up downhill in the beach , parking for 5 motorhome/campers , free , but just park-up nothing more .

Next morning sunday 7/11 left Cap Gris Nez allong the coastline direction Cap d'Antifer (300km), where i saw a nice free camperspot ( camperguide) at the foot of the lighthouse on the edge of the cliffs....reminded me at the spot in Dover where we spent our first night for our 2014 COTF visit!

image.jpeg
Went to do some walking arround as there where some details of war bunkers visible .

Nice facilyties and a heated indoor pool . Pitch, electric, 2pers. + dog 16 euro/day + tourist tax .

As said we went back to the M S-M site leaving our doggie in the Cali on campsite , roof up , vents in the window ....no problem this time a year themp. are not gonne get that high in the verhicle. One thing as we where 1h off i started thinking ....did i put that bowl of water on the ground ...as it was sitting on the fridge lid afther filling it up....ah whatever she usally sleeps on the rear seat so she will find it if thirsty!
We took the camping shutlle bus to the parkinglot of the M S-M and from there the free shutlle bus over the walkabout to the foot of the M S-M .
There is a camperspot on the parking for witch they ask 20,80 euro/ 24h no facilyties!
Glad we took the ACSI camping eventually was 35,42euro for 48h all in ( shower,2h wifi,...)

The visit to the abbey is 9euro/ person and worth the money as is a unique site , world heritage.

We just walked on our own but one can take a audio-guide also.
I am not that in to relegion but sites like this are amazing!

The nature arround the mount is magnificent , due to the flood of the sea.

Looks a great trip! Nice dry weather too and your dog looks very happy at the beach.

On 11/11 at noon we had to leave the campsite as they closed for winter .
Afther a good cleanout of the Cali , filling the fresh water etc...
we went back on the road on yet another sunny day arround 15 deg.cel.
Leaving the Mont Saint-Michel behind...

Goal was ending up near Nez de Jobourg / Cap de la Hague ( not far from Cherbourgh) .
Took the national up to Granville and there switched to D roads allong the coast up...
Stopped few times to take a walk.

We finally drove 185km and found a superb free camperspot at Goury found it in a camperguide.
Together with a few "big white ones " we spend the night with this view
Think the lighthouse called " gros du raz
Also a big nucliare plant nearby ....
As we where standing there we lisent to BBC R2 and had a cellphone provider named "SURE" ...could it be where close to the UK ?
image.jpegSitting in our Cali , this view , glass wine .....nothing more needed !

Next morning 12/11 took off early as we had no " pain" ....no shops in the nearby on this lands end...
image.jpeg
Drove down the road to the coast to get closer to the lighthouse...
image.jpeg
As we did , another great view...
image.jpeg

Hit the road planning to end up somewhere in between Caen and Le Havre.
Visiting Utah and Omaha beach .

Two tanks next to eachother!

We ended up at Dives-sur-mer afther 195 km
Nothing special about this free camperspot , nearby a fishingharbour . Many "big white's" with their satelite dishes up and tv on....for god sake if you wanne watch tv ...stay home!

But good thing , 5 min walk to the beach!

Today waking up the weather turned less good than the past days and the fact we have to go to a family meet tomorrow we drove 525km home....
We had a great 7days trip
6 nights in the Cali , 2 on a campsite 4 freecamped
Total off 1735 km with 146liters diesel....

Home sweet home.....
Trips are great but i always like coming home...
