Hello everyone,

Here's a picture of our new purchase, a 2015 black Cali SE. After researching VW campers for over a year, we didn't expect to be in a position where we would be owning one this year. We originally thought we would be looking at a custom made van, but after hiring a California in March, we knew it was the only choice for us.

We are really excited and looking forward to many trips this year. The picture below is from our first outing to Lyme Regis over Easter.

We have been reading the forums for ideas, advice and inspiration and thank you all so far for great insight.

I've just joined too, but am not in the happy position you are to have a Cali. Yours look mint, just what we want.

Looks good. Especially when clean. Hope you enjoyed your first outing.

One bit of advice, get some decent tent pegs, Rock Pegs are very good, to peg down the awning legs and some Guy ropes or equivalent to fit to the top of the legs and tension the awning properly. Doesn't take much in breezy conditions to flip the awning over the vehicle. Also 1 leg high and the other one lower to let water run off rather than pool if rain expected.

Hi Calimera, it is Hook Farm. We tent camped there about 4 years ago and thought it would be a good first trip for us. A great place for to visit.
