Having looked through searches I can’t find the answer to this. Why does my control panel show that Amps are being drawn when the fridge is on but not the auxiliary heater which remains at 0.0A?

Firstly, is it a factory fitted heater?
Is it controlled from the Control Panel?

Thanks. Factory fitted and controlled from panel. Working fine, programmable etc but not Amp change.

In that case the amps should show up , unless there has been a change made in the wiring.
Has it shown in the past?

Van is new to me, so not sure. I guess it’s a bit academic if it works, but nice to know!

There are two logical explanations that spring to mind:
  • The heater positive may be wired to your starter battery.
  • The heater ground wire may be wired to the leisure battery negative bypassing the shunt.
