Had a new alternator and battery fitted 3 months ago in my 2019 T6. All worked fine - but with van not used for just 1 week - battery was flat. Charged it up - took it for a good drive - but a few days later battery flat again. Jump started it myself - started fine but then all the warning lights came on my dashboard and petrol gauge was at zero (even though plenty fuel in) turned van off - took keys out of ignition - but al the lights stayed on even with no keys in - they are still on now 3 days later - despiite a new jump start - and battery flat again ....... As this happened to anyone slse? I'm totally confused- so any ideas would be very helpful : )

Not happened to me but a question?
Did the alternator fail first and then you ended up with a flat battery.
I am suspecting that your failed original alternator has done some damage to one of the vehicle electrical control modules due to over voltage or AC instead of DC regulated voltage being applied to the vehicle systems or a damage battery control module.
I am not an auto electrician but removing the keys and not killing the power to vehicle systems is a serious problem, as the key removal should power down a wide range of systems and set the engine immobiliser and alarm system.
Computers are involved and clearly one or more are not complying with instructions.
Needs plugged into a code reader and see what error codes are being reported.
Who did the alternator and battery repair. If VW should have 2 year on parts and should have used due diligence in diagnosing just alternator and battery replacement.
However, crap does happen and May be an unconnected electrical failure.

I think you might have a faulty or failed Voltage Stabiliser. I would check the fuse for it, it is SB4 (30A) on a T6. If it is not the fuse then it might be the device itself, a fault code read should highlight this.

The device is there to provide a stable voltage during a stop-start cranking event. So only a few systems are fed by it, but generally features that suffer from having the voltage drop during a cranking event esp during start-stop events, as the effect is much more evident than cranking at the start of journey.

The Lights being on is likely to a reaction to a fault rather than a fault itself, generally switching lights on is deemed to be failsafe condition if any element of system has an issue.
