No, I never use campsites. Finland is the best place I have been so far for wild camping though. I’m loving it here, except for the cold.

Öland, Långe Erik lighthouse Default mode in Sweden is social distancing (Don’t talk to other people and if in a queue leave minimum 1m between each person, no eye contact) and we’re not under house arrest.

They have ‘Every mans right’ to roam here. Very few ‘no camping‘ signs There are log cabins/ huts with chopped firewood and fixed barbecue areas with fire pits dotted around many lakes and beaches here. Great for wild camping.

We stayed one night at the small plot of land my daughter rents with her husband. It was OK until the local tennis club president knocked on the window at 8am and asked us what we were doing there... a dog-walker had reported us!
I cooked an awesome breakfast on my monster stove of mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon and eggs, and used the oven to finish off the part-cooked croissants. Both the stove and the lantern are from the early 1960's and use 'camp fuel' (or Aspen 4T, it's way cheaper) and are still going strong!
