Nice, had my old t6 joker down in the -15/-20 few times water tank did freeze (worth adding a heat pad).E3EA25E0-5C75-4311-BCF9-D6ECAB2C5B52.jpegAEA8F27D-D4C8-47B8-B75C-4990041AB76F.jpeg

Was -8C last night. Manual says no issue down to -10C. I have a small heated carpet via 12v but what heated pad would work? Put it above the tank by taking the drawer out or out it in the rear storage area?

Researched a bit and bought a Beurer Cosy Night heated under blanket. 50 watts but can be controlled and scheduled with an app. I have a wifi router in the van so this might do the trick. Will put it under the floor in the rear storage area and test it out. Most of these have automatic shutoff but this one does not. Also nice it can be controlled remotely via the app. I like keeping my tanks full and ready to roll.

Just picked up our first VW.... 2023 T6.1 Ocean with 30km

Bought it in Germany, first registration was in Belgium in Sept. Had to register it in my friend's name in Germany for 6 months AND 7,000km before importing it to Hungary - otherwise there's a 40% new vehicle import tax (apparently common throughout Europe). First 2100km were awesome.

This winter we'll do a shake-down trip: Malta, Sicily, Spain, Morocco, and Portugal.

Just need to add steels, AT tires, and front bash plate then ready to travel the globe.

I was going to install a 12v heat pad you stick to the water tank and wire a switch under the floor.
Never got round to it on new van as sold before winter.
I have a vango heat mat works off a usb socket they seek them in club shop and have a few setting and times (great for sleeping bag or you could use that).

? What am I meant to be looking at? :)
Sorry, one forgot to write what one had done, ha! Fitted gloss black grill and ?paddles (the lower grey dog bone)
Fitted Lazer lamps, the amber filters can be removed for spring and summer use.
Yellow output for use in the snow.
Really didn’t like the glitz of chrome look grill.
Mechanic wanted £500 to fit!
So did it myself.

If you don't mind me asking, which Lazer Lights do you have and how much? Dear Father Christmas....
Speak with Josh at Beacons and lightbars in Bromsgrove.
He will sort you a 10% discount, and free delivery.
And a can bus, that needs wiring into the back of climate control button.
Also a set of amber covers.

paid £648 all in.
That’s including vat and shipping.
I chose the Triple R750 gen 2 with position lamps (you can choose white or amber, while installing.)

I prefer the black grill, not a fan of all the “chrome”

Nice menacing appearance. Satin black swamper wheels to complete the look.
Thank you :thumb
I’m not feeling the swamper AT tyres though, but yes needs some black 9 spoke or 5 spoke black winter wheels for next Winter. I’ll keep to 18” as the ride is sublime !
Would love a snorkel, but not ready to cut into the wing yet ;)

We were camped in just about the only part of the country that didn't have snow. It was around -5 degrees C most nights. Camped at York Caravan Park convenient for trips into the City for the Christmas Fayre.
