@motacyclist Is Robin's the name of the campsite, or the area - do you have a link? Been to Nefyn before but not in the Cali, so this definitely looks like a near future trip!

Driving back from the mountains to Geneva a month or so ago and had a surreal moment - going past an area called "La Californie" at the exact time the song "California" came on the radio.
It was clearly "A Sign" of destiny and now the happy owner of our Cali, bought last week :)

Thought we’d go to Chirk Castle today, but due to the weather (?) it was shut! So we set up camp outside.

Must order a set of these gates for our house :D

Went for a walk along the Shropshire Union Canal nearby, through the tunnel which is about ¼ mile long and out on to the aqueduct on the other side.

Mrs M had to close her eyes crossing here! Must be weird in a narrow boat 100 feet or so above the valley below.

Back to the ‘van for lunch, then a quick walk around Chirk C & MC Club site. Many years since we last stopped here.

Finally a stop for coffee at Farndon in the way home. The River Dee is not usually as high as it is here.
