I thought that a tandem was for two. Is there a name for a three up bike?

Tandem describes the riding position one behind the other. Side by side is called a sociable.

You can name them tandem twin, triplet, quad, etc. I don’t think sociables come bigger than twins, but there do exist 7 seat cycles in a 2x3 configuration with a driver.

Not a Cali either but spent the afternoon in a nearby national park doing a bit of walking and picnicking. Farmhouse in the background is called Iturriotz which means cold spring, and despite being spring having sprung it was pretty chilly! Starting point for a nice walk up to Mt Ernio.89FAD9C1-314F-41F3-9AAC-2EF58A73F44A.jpeg

Had a chat with my Cali pressed some buttons and in the end the roof went down again (I've accidentaly turned the main switch - aftermarket fit I guess - under the driving seat and there we go sgain). 4001 is still here however, doesn't bother us much.

Last gasp three nights of camping before lockdown 3 (or is it 4 now?!) kicks in around here on Thursday.
Not quite the view from the van as the shower block is in the way but it’s a very pleasant site. Have never stayed this close to home (1 hour) so it’s quite novel.

Camping Leagi - Mendoza/Lekeitio, Basque Country - sure some forumistas will have been here as it’s an hour from the ferry at Bilbao.

Some what damp walk in West of Scotland, the only one who looked happy was a passing Labrador.

It can’t be seen by drone when carried on the roof of Amarillo.

All you can make out is the tandem carrier.
Now, that assertion needs to be proved by a drone picture from above...

Regards from Amsterdam,

Marc.

Force Ten tent, classic!!! Many soggy memories!
Hah they stood up ok to weather but when I used them last it just seemed to rain all the time! The canvas kept the rain out but everything else was wet anyway…

used to divide the MK3 up between its three occupants for hiking. Whoever got the heavy, awkward poles felt hard done by, but once it was all wet it was the fly sheet that weighed a ton!
