Hi
I have a 2007 caravelle executive and have recently purchased these blinds
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321360737262? ... 1439.l2649

As it said Multivan in the title i presumed they would all fit my caravelle. The windscreen one fits fine as do the drivers door ones. The 4 other side blinds have small magnets in the material around the edges as does the rear blind (which has no poles) there doesnt seem to be anywhere to stick these magnets to in my caravelle so wondered if anyone could tell me what vw these blinds are actually made for?

They're made for a Multivan, you have a Caravelle. Possibly they are made for the one sliding door Multivan Startline without blinds.

Multivan quite different or can be quite different to a UK Velle. I am a bit surprised because what you've bought is the good night package - I thought that would fit a UK Velle. Maybe someone with knowledge of German or Euro Vans can help.

I think multivans of this era do not have the plastic surrounds around windows that we have. You can see the metal and hence you can stick these blinds on to the metal frames whereas in a current california / caravelle there are no mangnetic areas to attach it to. See photo.

You're right Steve - I've seen early Beaches with the metal surround, I've just PM'd you but I think that's it

Thanks for your help. So they seem to be form a Beach? What sort of age beach would they be from?Would they have been an extra or cam with the van?
Thanks

i am not too sure but around the facelift time the Beach was much more basic

Check this one, this is a more basic bare metal version. I would imagine they came with the van, that was always the tradition with the multivan campers

The Beach now is a Multivan Startline, whereas then it appears to be more panel van based (if that makes sense)

I would recommend going for a T5 Silver Screen for the windscreen & cab windows instead of Euro blinds or the ridiculous kit they give you for the UK spec Cali's.
It works perfectly & blanks out all of the light. If you get the Paragon version it allows you to open up the front segment without having to remove the whole thing when you are on a site.
Don't be put off by their website, Silver screens are the best (and original), just give them a call if you have any doubts
