I have always carried this in all my cars. If circumstances allow, it is better to change the wheel - but there are times when speed is required.
My can went off on the boot of my old merc over the weekend. A bag of shopping placed by my wife when i was not looking crushed the can down onto the bolt that holds the boot cd changer in place. In a remarkable chain of misfortune this tore a tiny hole in the can whilst the car was being driven.
To my absolute horror I opened the boot 15 minutes later. This can covered the boot cd changer, leather wallet with the manual in it etc etc. I initially thought a can of pop had exploded in the heat, but the foam did not go down. The crisis then dawned on me
Anyway, I managed to scrape it out before it dried so all is well. The handbook, service book etc are a bit ruffled, but the boot area came up a great. The foam easily comes off leather, plastic etc
To anyone that carries this stuff, the cans are wafer thin. Pack them in some protective gear.
