Found this rubber block in the sliding door step.
Made up of two rubber blocks glued together to form a block 20 x 20 x 12 mm.
The two large faces do not have any signs of adhesive on them.
Van has now travelled 33,000 km and I thought this rubber block might have dislodged before now.

From inside the awning to stop it rattling.
Newer awnings have theses instead which are also less prone to falling out.

If you want to put the rubber pads back in they go in roughly the same place as the plastic clips shown in the above thread so that the silver hinge on the awning legs push up against them when the awning is closed.

Thanks for the replies but I don't think the rubber blocks were used to prevent rattle from awning legs.
1. The original anti rattle rubber squares are still in place.
2. The mystery rubber block has smooth surfaces that have never had any form of adhesive on them.

They probably used to be 2x individual blocks that’ve stuck themselves together then. If not the awning, then perhaps they belong as part of the padding to secure the chairs in the tailgate?
