Was trying to fold the bench seat forward felt a bit of resistance then with a snap it came forward..

Forgot I had the multiflex board folded up and hooked on the head rest :headbang :headbang :headbang :headbang

Anyone at VW parts (SMG?) know if you can buy this part separately?

An absolute bargain... get two, you know you'll be breaking it again ;)

I ragged mine off pulling a big bag out of the boot with the flex board down. I don't actually know what it is but since I subsequently discovered the flex board lifts up (great for getting bikes in the boot) I presume it's for retaining the flex board in the up position. Can you confirm? I may need another one as it's a pain when the flex board drops on its own.

Except I have no rear headrests as they get in the way of the kids car seats and have to be taken off to fold the bed. Maybe an upgrade to short piece of dowel or garden cane is in order.

It is indeed a "bag retainer".... I have to say, why bother? But hey ;)

I've not used bag retainers but given the plastic floor in the huuuuge flat boot something to retain shopping bags probably seemed like a good idea.

I just did exactly the same! Anyone know where I can get one from now?
