Hello everyone, thanks to the information found in the various dedicated posts, I was able to solve the problem of non-recharging of the service batteries of my 2017 Cali Ocean ... after checking the 80 Ah fuse located under the seat ( found in place ..) I disassembled the engine battery and in the fuse box the 100 Ah Midi one was burned ..... I replaced it and everything now works fine ..... I want to thank all those who give the right and essential information to solve the various problems !! .... but I have a doubt: why does this 100Ah fuse blow? what should NOT be done so that this does not happen? ... it seems to me that the fuse has blown to other friends of the Forum .... I made some mistake in the network connection, in starting the motor with the cable connected?. ... if anyone can explain me thanks

1. The fuse could be faulty.

2. What exactly were you wiring up when you had the problem?

..I had never noticed the malfunction, while camping I always connected to the 220volts network (in this case the batteries were charged correctly) and I never noticed what the control panel showed, so it may be that already from the moment when the vehicle was delivered the fuse was blown. Then, reading the various posts, I checked the panel and I saw that although the G sign of the generator appeared, the volts did not rise with the engine running, and therefore I proceeded to the various checks. I also got a spare split charge relay, you never know ..... I don't understand what could be the cause of the 100Ah fuse burning or where I went wrong ........ what .., how many AH does the cube fuse mounted on the service battery inside the cabinet have? .. I would like to get a spare one, thanks.

Sometimes fuses do just blow with no fault, they do work under harsh conditions. Most people have had a fuse blow on them at some point and after replacing everything is fine, so it must happen relatively often.
Otherwise there could be a cable which has chaffed through to the metal work which could blow it, if that is the case it may go again.
Or if someone has worked on the van they may have accidentally connected a cable to earth and blown it, although for the 100A one you would expect some big sparks for that one.

The design does not account for all eventualities. If the leisure batteries are totally depleted and the starter battery full, closing the spilt charge relay will result in a very high current flowing from starter to leisure system.

The starter battery is rated at around 600 cold cracking amps. The leisure batteries should accept around the same current with a 6V differential.

The Cube Fuse is 75amp.

Good evening, when the problem of failure to recharge the batteries arose, I thought of getting, for the eventual need for replacement, a split charging relay. I bought a used one on the Baja ..... I wanted to ask how can I check "on the bench" if it is working? .... I just tried it with a tester and there is no continuity between the two positive poles ..... thank you

Should be 4 connections, 2 large, 2 small. Apply 12v from a battery to the 2 small to energise the relay (I'm not sure which is positive and which is negative on the small ones) then the 2 large should get continuity. Remove the voltage from the small ones and the continuity will go again.

As @Steve1 said apply 12V between 85 and 86 then check continuity between 30 and 87.

Hello, I performed the relay test as you suggested ..... it works fine..the relay is of the type with resistance at the head of the coil. Thanks for your cooperation !!
