I can't measure mine at the moment so does anybody happen to know, or can measure for me the width of the rear compartment for the leisure battery?

The reason I ask is that I was thinking of replacing both the 75Ah leisure batteries for 95Ah ones. The dimensions of the OEM are 315/175/190 and the 95Ah are 353/175/190, so I was wondering if the compartment would accommodate another 38mm in length. I'm pretty sure that there is enough space under the passenger seat for a 95Ah battery so this could be a easy way to get another 40Ah without too much hassle/cost (£135ish for a 95Ah Varta).

From memory it’s pretty tight in there. I’d hazard not without some fettling to the compartments.

I removed my rear leisure battery recently in order to wire up my solar panel. I would say that the larger battery wouldn't fit. If you are looking for more resilience or battery power, then perhaps consider a 100W solar panel, or an Ecoflow.

Maybe I'll make a box to the same dimensions and see I I can squeeze it in there as a test run.

Did you have to remove the EHU charger above the battery to get the battery out?

No I didn't have to remove the EHU charger. It is fiddly to get the battery out with your finger tips and having to angle it a bit. As you might have guessed it isn't the lightest either!

Easiest way to get the battery out is to put a strap around the battery to pull it and use a paint scraper or similar to lift the bottom edge up and slide over the lip of the opening.
