I'm sure many of you know this spot, but its always worth a mention. The harborside at Cruden bay, between Aberdeen and Peterhead allows motorhome camping for a tenner into an honesty box. There is a small, but nice and clean public loo kept open for campers and fishermen 24/7 within a few steps, plus fresh water from a tap outside. Cruden bay has a lovely sandy beach, 5 mins walk from the harbor, a couple of pubs which do food and a small Spar shop in the post office.
The harbor is run by trustees who keep the loos clean as well and positively encourage camping as it helps keep the little harbor going. Its a smashing stopover spot, very quiet when we were there (a Sunday night) and well worth a look.
