IMG_2412.JPG Collected my new California yesterday afternoon but didn't leave the dealers until it was after dark. Fitted the seat covers, carpets and gas cylinder this morning, then headed out for a little play. It drives just as well as I hoped, in a word it is Brilliant :D. We have decided 'he' shall be known as Gandalf.

Tomorrow I will see what the weather is like and may fit the winter wheels/tyres along with the Sparesafe I have ready and waiting in my garage, before going out for another play. Loads of plans in mind for many adventures to come :bananadance2

Great colour. You may need winter wheels & tyres tomorrow with the weather forecast.

It's not supposed to be that clean....only showroommodels are clean.
Cali's in dirt and moist are the result of beautiful rides on single track roads ....thats a part off the Cali way of life!

Enjoy your pride and joy!

I like to clean my van however as @hotel california said: dirt and mud are souvenirs from great journeys and small/big adventures. Have fun!

Never mind going on adventures. Given where I live, surrounded by narrow muddy lanes, there is no chance of it ever staying clean for long. :)

Lovely Cali in a great colour. Make sure you fit your Sparesafe before you do anything else. Cali spare wheels are easy meat for those light fingered types in the know.
Happy adventures.

Looks lovely!

Love mine when it's clean but I can never be bothered to do it! It's a disgrace at the moment, especially inside!

Nice one - mines Acapulco Blue & it wears the dirt well believe me! ;)

Have fun.

If you think blue is hard to keep clean you should try white. Man. One drive up the lane and I'm back to square one!

Anyway your new Cali looks great and you must be dead pleased with it.

Have fun!!!

Did you order your seat covers from the dealership?? I'm desparate for a full set for my Ocean

I bought a set of Brandrup second skin seat covers from the Dutch VW camper shop in late September, they had them in stock and arrived within a few days. At the time the exchange rate wasn't too bad and the price was very competitive.

It isn't too bad :D although I hope you had a better view of Snowdon than the one on offer today.
My California is definitely looking a little grubbier than it did a week ago. Putting my winter wheels on worked well, the temperature has shot up and the snow has all but disappeared.

Think I prefer the look of the retro steel wheels over alloys. Guess they are cheaper and more durable too. Pity they aren't an option when you buy.

Not sure if I prefer but they do suit. Might have to look for a photo of a white one.

Hi. where did you buy your winter wheels and can you let me know how much they are please? Sounds like a good idea to put them on.

I was lucky and bought my hardly used set from a top gentleman member of this club.

IMG_2468.JPG It has only taken a few days to reveal its natural plumage
