Nemo the Blue Ocean

Another family roadtrip over as we arrive back into Hull. This time Zebrugge to Burgundy region, Med coast in the South of France, Roses Costa Brava, Andorra, Arachon bear Bordeux, Ile de Rae and Normandy and back via Zebrugge. 2k+ mile’s over 16 days ‘chasing the sun’.

Once again the van was awesome. No faults. Drove like a dream. Lots more memories created.

Things we learnt...

We always pack too many clothes.
We never use that emergency tin of tomato soup / baked beans.
We didn’t need the chocks (again).
Carry a spare plastic wine glass. They are impossible to find abroad.
You don’t need to book campsites ahead if you can be flexible.
The Brandrup rear fly screen works and helps when hot.
The battery lasts for days when you’re touring.
The Car-Net find your cheapest fuel function isn’t infallible (it took us up a demolished station).
VW satnav hasn’t been updated for Zebrugge.

I wander where next?
