With you on that GJ. Hats off to the NT and its blue-rinsies.
Me and Mrs VD joined NT as life members (ie a one-time fee) about 25 years ago so now we feel a teeny bit uncomfy about having so many world-class sites and landscapes to visit without being asked for any further contributions. Consequently I have to steer Mrs VD safely clear of every NT gift shop in case she tries to dive in to make a guilt purchase.
But seriously I do try to remember, though sometimes I forget

, to say a proper thank-you to at least one of the NT volunteers on every visit. I don't think all visitors actually realise the guides and stewards give up their time for nothing to shepherd us gormless grockles.
My only real beef is that a lot of the NT cafes seem to have stopped selling Fentiman's ginger beer in favour of that Luscombe's stuff. Get a grip NT.
