I don't think you can buy a replacement flap but the whole socket is easily available on the web and also very easy to fit.

Replace mine whole unit in 20mins, bought off ebay

The flap is available to buy as a single item, costs about 6,50€
the whole socket costs about 18,50€

I replaced the whole socket as i didn't want to p1ss about
with the springs.

Sorry - have searched the forums and came up with this, but nothing else. Can anyone give me any guidance on replacing either the whole socket or the flap? I've never attempted anything like this before but am considering giving it a go if it's straightforward.

Its quite straightforward to do,
lift the flap and unscrew the 4 screws then ease it out
and lift up the protecting cap and then you will see the
wiring.
Its just like changing a plug.
I think @AlanC posted some pics on here somewhere.

Yes, it is easy to do.

Under the socket flap are 4 Torx screws. Undo these and the socket can be pulled out. The +ve, -ve and earth cables are held into the socket by conventional screws and are easy to undo. The new socket is connected the same way and then pushed into the hole and secured with the 4 Torx screws. 20 mins max.

The only thing you need to be wary of is making sure you have connected the new socket with the correct polarity and the cable retaining screws are as tight as possible. If you have changed a 13amp plug at home then none of this will be an issue.

Thanks to all for your advice - I fitted the new box today - there were no explosions and following plugging in, I can confirm that it works!

I'd had a replacement socket fitted some months ago to replace the original as the flap would no longer stay down. The replacement worked but it looked ever so slightly different from the original - which just irritated me every time I passed by that side of the van. I'm feeling much better now
