Hmmm..., well... that is not a Norwegian or government site, according to the ’about us’, but a bunch of Indian (judging by their names) journalists, and the site has very shady whois info. Don’t know what to think of it. We’ll just have to wait and see, probably. Here is a link showing the current border control end dates. With more than three weeks since the European Commission and the European Council agreed to seal off the external borders of the EU and the Schengen Area, the end of the pandemic Coronavirus is nowhere in sight. As the number of those infected worldwide counts over 2.5 million, the European...www.schengenvisainfo.com
I’ve only heard about the 90 day extension being official so far, but there were suggestions of the rest of the year flying around. I guess it all depends on how things go in the rest of Europe the next few months.Hmmm..., well... that is not a Norwegian or government site, according to the ’about us’, but a bunch of Indian (judging by their names) journalists, and the site has very shady whois info. In nearly all regions they are allowed to acept visitors now, but facilities (toilet buildings, restaurants, etc) are closed. Sometimes grey and black water dumps are open. So, you need to bring your PotaPotti. We have invested in a pop-up toilet tent, and went for a one night trip to Drenthe, last weekend. In the meantime, campsites are back in business in The Netherlands?

There are campsites that have private facilities on pitches, these are nearly all booked full for the whole year now...
Not necessarily, I think. If we are all confined to stay in the countries that we live this summer then i
would expect the campsites in the Netherlands to be quite full.
From July 1 onward, Dutch campsites can open their toilet buildings to the public again. In nearly all regions they are allowed to acept visitors now, but facilities (toilet buildings, restaurants, etc) are closed. Nothing decided in Belgium yet, in France they will reopen first in the "green" zones, but no date yet. And we"ll have to wait and see if borders will open for travel too...From July 1 onward, Dutch campsites can open their toilet buildings to the public again.
Todays update from the government... Border will remain closed for people to enter until 20th August.... But, this date will be re-evaluated on the 20th of July when they may make exceptions for countries close to Norway (they mentioned Germany so I would guess Netherlands would be included here). It will depend how things have gone in the rest of the EU as to whether or not and who they open up to.We read this week that Norway has requested the Schengen community to be allowed to keep the borders closed/under surveillance for another 90 days after May 15. https://live.tv2.no/koronaviruset?innlegg=1188597241

Does sponsoring a christmas tree count as real estate@bvddobb Thanks for the tip! That's very interesting. As we also have family in Norway. The translation reads:
Update May 14, 2020: The Norwegian government has decided that EU / EEA citizens who have work, family or real estate in Norway are allowed to enter the country. Holiday home owners can therefore travel to Norway. The entry restrictions for all other persons remain.
