Hello from La Rochelle

Hello everyone! Thank you admins for letting me into the group. I've just bought a 2016 Cali Beach 4motion importing it from Germany to to my home near La Rochelle. It was an epic 3k km trip by coach and then driving across 3 countries to get it home again.
I decided to buy from Germany because the quality of the used vehicle dealer stock is so much better in Germany and the prices are lower.

Nice campervan. We stayed at the municipal campsite in La Rochelle last year . Walking distance into the town. Lovely place.

we visited the Vw Van centre in La Rochelle very recently, they were kinda unhelpful, ha

Hi Seb, sorry to bother you but I see you have stayed at the municipal campsite in La Rochelle, Was this "Camping Le Soleil La Rochelle" ?, If so how did you find the show facilities ?, there are very mixed reviews online and one even rated them dilapidated but it may be under new management for the last year or so ?

Hi, the municipal campsite has zero facilities. It is effectively a car park. It is geared towards motorhomes. We couldn't get the barrier to raise because our cali wasn't wide enough for the sensors. Had to get some very helpful French campers to help. It's cheap and we wanted to be able to walk into La Rochelle in the evening. One night without a shower was the tradeoff.

Hmm, might not be the one we stayed at. If it has any facilities then it isn't the one we stayed at.
