Comfort mattres

Hi everyone, this bank holiday coming I’m off camping alone. When there are 2 of us we normally sleep upstairs but I’m contemplating sleeping downstairs this time. I have never slept downstairs in the Cali and as soon as I bought the vehicle (used) I took the comfort mattress out as it was just folded up on the back parcel shelf area to create more storage. I’ve just put the bed in place downstairs to see what it’s like. I left the parcel shelf cushion thing in when I removed the comfort mattress. I thought the folding comfort mattress would just unfold over the seats and use the parcel shelf cushion as part of the mattress but the folding mattress I have folds in 3 sections so the parcel shelf cushion is not needed. Is this normal for the ocean? I can’t see anything on the factory fitted option list I got from VW about any comfort mattress or parcel shelf cushion. I think the folding comfort mattress is not VW supplied as it’s a different material to the shelf cushion, it’s sort of moleskin and very nice to the touch. Thanks for any comments in advance.

Sorry, for been a bit vague about what I want to know , so my question is what does the Ocean come with from the factory regarding parcel shelf cushion and comfort mattress for the downstairs bed?

With the comfort mattress, you remove the standard parcel shelf cushion as the comfort mattress has a double thickness cushion in that section, mine didn't come with the comfort mattress but I bought one used. It is a factory optional extra so I have both setups now too.
