Hello,
Just got a 150 T6 Ocean (2017) after 11 years with a T4 California (1991) - which we haven’t sold and might not.
Some obvious big plusses, but will be interesting to see what we miss! The old one was well built and has taken huge mileage well.
Day 1
- had to 3D print control panel knob - easy due to links here. Ordered original for £70 (!).
- has Dynaudio which is pretty good.
- has had EGR pipe just done. any tips for 150 owners?
- has ACC which is pretty good.
- has LED lights - seem to come as a pack front/back. look good.
Overall impressed so far.
Surprised that manual says overhead storage only for 2.5kg - seems low. We put loads in the T4 one.
Sliding kitchen doors promise to be less faff than T4 swing outs, but seem overall build seems a bit flimsy in parts.
What can you do with the inverter 240v socket? Says 150w so even short kettle use impossible - what do others use this for?
Performance is plenty and far removed from 77ps 2.4d non-turbo.
Needs a new main area carpet - would like to cover rails so maybe a rug best.
4 lower bolts on VW bike rack rusty - bit poor - do they all do that? Have put some 3D caps on.
