hi,

I bought the awning tie down straps from the club shop and I'm bemused by the selection of different fixings for it and can't find anything that seems to work really well for the factory fitted awning on my T6 Beach? And how on earth do the springs get incorporated? Could someone please post a photo of how they've done it- I used the bent piece of metal to insert into the gap as the top of the awning poles but it slips out quite easily so not convinced this is right?

Thanks,

Jez

This is how I set mine up, straps were fed inbetween the awning and the wind out arms. The metal pegs are probably supposed to go in at a different angle to mine. The spring works well by stretching slightly in the wind rather than the force acting on the metal pegs. The spring hooks onto the metal loop on the strap and the other side hooks onto the metal peg.

The metal bit does slide into the awning, they are a little tricky I admit, . You bang pegs in,attach springs to peg, then attach strap to springs. Strap then clips on to strap attached to metal clip, keep tension on otherwise clips fall out. Sounds confusing but get everything ready. Takes 2 people until you are used to it. Works really well when you get the hang of

I keep repeating myself , but it does give answers to many Q's
"Search function" using the words " awning straps" gives a list of treads and one of them is thisone .

Read it and arrive at page three you see a detail on how the Thule straps are used.

Thanks - I did search for 'awning tie downs' as per the item name in the shop but found nothing useful, hence asking the question.

Thanks to everyone for the positive helpful replies, much appreciated. This is a great forum and I appreciate the help.
