just collected our Cali from its warrant visit and MOT. Checked it over today and not a happy bunny.

I typed and printed a small list of items so none would be missed and gave it to the service man. As I went through the list he clearly didn't know what I was on about.

I can't fit the emergency roof fastenenrs in their slots to Velcro the roof shut if the normal closer fails. He had no idea, on inspection there is still sealant blocking the inserts.

The spongy floor between the front seats, a blank look as I tell him Cali forum tells me it's normal, is it?
No comment upon collection.

Some little holes in roof bellows he tells me are pulls. Pulls I ask what does that mean, will they get worse. They usually do says he, but not a warranty item.

Water sender replaced he says, not tested yet so don't know.

The van now has two scratches on the glass worktop, a small dint in the kitchen door, oily boot marks on the drivers carpet and trim and that's just on a quick look.

Good news is they sort of washed the bottom of the van but not the roof. So looks superfluously clean unless I peep up top.

There's a polite letter in my invoice asking if they did a good job. Mmmmm.

Have to confess, I'm surprised to read about your experience as I've only ever had superb customer service from JCT600 in Sheffield.

Used them recently for an MOT and the service was as excellent and courteous as always. Dropped me off at the Tram stop before performing the work. Offered to pick me up on return. Van cleaned for me prior to pick up. Even offered me a free Easter egg as I was leaving. To be honest, I've always had the same level of service.

To be honest, if you weren't happy with the service you received on the day, it might be worth calling them to let them know. I'd be surprised they wouldn't want to know.

+1 for consistently good service at JCT600 Sheffield.

Definitely contact them and explain why you're not happy.

I am surprised your experiences are different to mine. But pleased as this is my dealer.

I did complain and was asked back, they are going to replace one of the two damaged items and they also completed the overlooked warranty item whilst i waited.

Overall the visit was a success but must confess to falling out with them in the middle of the visit; oops.

There was a chap there who knew what he was doing and supervised the tidy up. We have just returned from a trip around Eire and we found oily marks all over the place following the repairs. Had to wash the cutlery drawer to get the stuff off. Clean boots and gloved hands recommended for next time

I've always had good service there apart from washing. I won't let them do it now as the last time the van has got some small chips in the paintwork on the sides. No point in complaining as I can't prove they weren't there before.
