ABS sensor again!

Hi All
Dash board intermittently lighting up with ABS/ tyre pressure warning yet again. Last time it was the rear left, this time its rear right.
Part on order £10.

This will be replaced shortly when planned brake fluid replacement is due.

Due to the very poor quality of the original and the number that seem to fail it’s probably a good idea to carry a pair as spares.

I replaced the rear pair with original items. Peace of mind etc

The rear ABS sensors are often first to go and if one goes the other side will soon follow. The rear ones get most of the road muck compared with the front.

No. Once driven the dashboard lights will reset.

Hi how did you know it was this sensor? I'm currently getting a tyre pressure light and abs and traction control all the time and having to pay £100 to get an outfit to just do a diagnostic check......then I'll have to deal with the outcome and whatever that costs. It started as intermittent typre pressure light even though tyres were good so I'm thinking its the valve gizmos that need replacing but no idea really.

It depends on which tyre pressure system you have.
Indirect.uses the ABS sensors and just tells you that you have low pressure in a tyre.
Direct uses sensors in each tyre and tells you the actual pressure in each tyre. Paid for Option on new vehicle.
When an ABS sensor fails it affects tyre pressure, ABS and Traction control , hence the lights.

T5 & T6 don't have Tyre Pressure Sensors in the Rims, these use the ABS wheel rotation system only.

T6.1 has direct Tyre Pressure System with wheel sensors as an option.

Ah thanks so my T6 probably has a failed ABS sensor which is bringing all the lights on......now to figure out which one is the culprit....unless its not a sensor but something else. Hopefully the diagnostic guy can tell me

Are the T5.1 sensors compatible? Never had any problem with them in over 15 years and over 211000km.
