What have you bought for your Cali today :-)

It’s all about common sense. I’ve never had an issue, and as an EV driver myself I am respectful to ensure I am not hogging a charger that someone else might need. Every charger will have the terms of charging posted or via an app. In my experience it’s typically the fast DC chargers that have idle fees, or AC chargers in congested downtown city areas. I’m typically using them up in the mountains in remote areas and usually I am the only one up there at night.

Thanks, @Webbah_in_Switzerland, it does sound like a cracking system you have worked out, including using an Ecomat+ Select heater for the reasons you elaborated in your previous post(s) here on that heater.

These chargers are also great to top up the batteries and go in Winter. Solar is challenging here for the next 5 months.

I have deliberated about one of the above Carbox bootliners for months. I already had a budget one from Halfords:

https://www.halfords.com/motoring/c...ottez-boot-mat---medium--75x100cm-360032.html

It has been OK, but predictably at £28 (now) it was not perfect.

The Roofbox/Carbox photographed above was linked to by someone a while back, and I finally splashed out last week (£104 plus delivery). It arrived rolled tight and needs to be warmed (using my Ecomat+, of course!) for a few hours in situ (with help from masking tape) to regain its proper shape which is now perfect. The two button studs are for a useful free add on bumper protector.

[link deleted as item discontinued]

Added note: Whoops, looks like I got the last T6.1 one - but that they still have ones for the T5 and T6 (though not the T6.1 version):

Further added note: The Roofbox Company just confirmed that "Carbox ceased trading earlier in the year so [they] will not restock going forward".

Bought this cargo box (also came with handy knock off yeti cooler) which fits perfectly under the rear shelf. Also now houses the spare gas (907) perfectly and has a really good seal which I feel more comfortable having in the van.
Also picked up a few storage boxes from B&M for the cupboards and two rugs from Dunelm which I saw someone do on here. Fit lovely and the join is acceptable, I cut them around the kitchen unit with a pair of scissors.

I'm thinking about going full dometic for when my van arrives, they look pretty smart and you can get various cooler inserts for them if you want extra cold space

It had 3x cooler bags, 1 large (takes up half the space) and 2 smaller ones. With all 3 in the cargo, I can still put the gas cannister in there, so it's ideal.

The large cooler also fits perfectly between the captains seats at the front, so ideal for keeping food in whilst driving if you don't want to stop and the passenger can feed you whilst driving lol!

I think I can get about £50 worth of baby bells in there.

I need to try and find somewhere I can see them face to face if possible

I would not want to worry you but a sealed box will do nothing to contain a gas leak from a 907 (other than possibly increase the chance of an explosion). However the chance of a gas leak from a spare 907 is very very low.

I've just picked up the full set for just over £80 from Cambridge campers via their eBay store. Looks like the new version costs the same and doesn't come with the inserts so thought I'd better move fast

Pretty lights.

Got to work out a way of stopping them sliding and bunching now as they only hold in place with the roof down pushing on the hooks.

Wife and I have gone full on weirdos and watching Campervan Time, Professional Moochers and Yorkshire Poptop Adventures instead of normal tv for the last few weeks lol!

You'd have never thought we are experienced campers, but we've got a new lease of life.

Same here with the you tube channels. So much so I’ve cancelled my tv licence

So the new acquistions continue!

Had my windows tinted in the living area, gives a bit more daytime privacy as we will use the van as a daily at times. Also had the awning rails done in black + the awning (not on the van yet).

If anyone's worried, taking the awning off is easy, heavier than expected so use two of you. Also the bike rack is super easy to remove too, literally a couple of allen bolts on lower arms and it lifts off.

Next stop is the black pop top (visually lowers the van) but I need a really good weekend where I can thoroughly clean and dry the poptop before a wrap goes on it. (The vision is in my profile pic, so I'm working towards it)

Side bars and front splitter have arrived, just waiting on wheels. Once that's all on, it's the dreaded suspension to tackle/decide on and i'm done.

Looking good! First thing I did was tint the windows too.

Personally I’m against the roof idea but that’s just me.

I've got similar in my van. I "folded" the lights back on themselves a few times so the total length fitted that space, then used some small cable ties to fix them like that, making sure the lights were slightly offset each time to fill the gaps.

In terms of holding them up, I uses some of the clear 3M Command type hooks on the trim.

I got Brandrup Extreme set. Front cabin windows. On eBay.de from Hahn Automobiles and great price. Instead of 238 Euros I pain 179 euros. I also got 3 side panels from another place reduced from 84 to 54 each. Sales had nothing to do with Black Friday.

They look nice and neat. I'm waiting on delivering of mine from Project Camper, they were posted today, so fingers crossed they're here for my weekend trip! (unlikely, but never know)

So, the new shoes are on (20x8.5 with 275/40s all round)

Initial comments

1 Was really worried about it all feeling like i'm crashing over stuff, but it's really not that noticeable and i've just driven down a pretty horrific road.

2 Road noise, nothing mad, just noticeable.

3 Insurance change negligible.

4 I'm a little unhappy with how it sits, but i'm sure the front splitter and bars will soften things, if not, it's a trip to CRS Performance in the new year to get things how I want them.

I recently replaced all 3 glass worktops and so to help reduce scratching moving forward, I purchased these so that when the kitchen is in use, I can keep all 3 glass tops open the whole time but still have useable worktop space.

These are very high quality and fit perfect - very pleased.

All from Yes Campervan...

A game changer for the management of dirty laundry for four up in a Cali.

On the move it fits in with the picnic chairs. When camped it goes in the gazebo. I don’t know how we managed for our year long tour of Europe without it!

I am impressed how clean your hobs are.
