18” Teresina or 17” Aracaju wheels on new Beach?

Which option would you recommend? Realise that there is a compromise between comfort and fuel economy and slightly concerned that the Teresinas could be easily damaged as there is very little tyre protruding.

17" enables you to carry a matching spare easily in the standard VW carrier.

18” my preference.
You can buy the spare wheel carrier from the shop.
I’m sure I’ve read you can put a 17 with a larger tyre on that closely match’s the 18”.
Obviously discuss with a few tyre depots this workaround. To make sure you’re not going to lose control of the vehicle.
But it’s do-able.
I can count on one hand, the amount of punctures I’ve had in 33 years of driving.
There are mobile tyre fitters, who come to you in your hour of need
