well was very pleasantly surprised just returned form weekend away in peak district, weather unpredictable but that is to be expected , had a FAB time and was lovely to feel nearly normal again or is it the new normal ??? outside venues open , warm welcomes from local businesses and on the whole everyone was very respectful and patient. so come on VW owners get out there , it is revitalizing after all the time in lock down. just one thing.................... lets start waving some many calis not waving , so come on .......lets be happy we are back out and about , making memories again !!!!!

We've just come back from camping on the Cheshire/Shropshire border and had a great time, local people were so welcoming, it was so lovely to be out and about. Where were you in Peak District I live there so always interested to hear of good places to stay

We stopped a couple of nights at the Miner's Standard above Cromford the year before last. Always meant to return but, y'know ;)
Good pub, quiet site (when we were there), hope it weathered the storm...

Nice part of the world! The people at the pub were nice too, as I remember it was freezing cold at night despite being August and they let us stay in the bar with our 6yo until closing time!

Yeah it's always freezing up that way in the hills, even in mid summer

we stayed at Blackshaw moor site C&M site, really nice clean and spaced out and close to walks and local pub . Defo recommend .

I know that area quite well, near the Three Horse Shoes and the Trout pubs. It's on my list for a quick weekend get away
