Just back from two months in Europe with our 2014 180 ps California. Visited Germany on route over 2 days, main stays were in Austria (Imst / Nassereith)) Slovenia (lake Bohinj), Croatia (Rovinj), Italy (Lago Caldonazzo and Finale Ligure) and France. The only thing we booked was the Ferry, just followed the best weather, main interests were MTB, Climbing / via feratta and Hiking. Took the SUP this year, thought it would be a struggle with space but fitted easily.

Used the Ferry from Newcastle to Ijmuden (Amsterdam) mainly to avoid sailing with P and O but found it a good route for us.

Did a total of just under 3000 miles, averaged 34.7 mpg overall, some days as much as 41 mpg and others in the steep sections of the alps low 30's. Had the van services the week before we left and it used no detectable amount of oil during the trip. Mileage now 116,840.

Van behaved perfectly as usual.

Finale Ligure

Worth it for MTB?

According to some on this Forum, this trip is not possible in a 180 biturbo, and using no oil, just impossible.
He probably had it covered.
AA Breakdown cover and an extra one just in case the breakdown man
came in a 180 biturbo :cheers

Great memories for the coming winter months.
I am sure he also had problems with the electric roof being stuck open or sagging and squashing them to death while asleep

Quality strike there from WG I thought. :shocked
