3rd vehicle insurance for short time?

I've got an issue with the caravan that I need to sell and it means I can't sell my current van either, as it's the tow vehicle, as the new Cali won't have a tow bar.

Any suggestions for who best to contact for insurance if we need to buy the Cali as a 3rd vehicle? I obviously want to resolve the issue as soon as possible but I don't want to keep all 3 vehicles plus caravan for any longer than necessary and it makes the insurance a wee bit more complicated.

Your current insurer will probably cover both vehicles for a bit if you ask. Just tell them you've got a new van but the old one hasn't gone yet, I've never had a company refuse.

Thanks, that would be a good solution. I've never had to do this before but I suspect the caravan issue will linger on...sigh...
