2 months into our 4-month trip in Central Europe. Can’t believe we’re already halfway through.

Currently in Krk, Croatia enjoying the beautiful beaches and gorgeous weather.

Images are from Slovenia, Austria and Croatia respectively.

Slovenia by far being the most unexpectedly impressive and unspoilt so far.

Hi James. We couldn’t agree more. We’ve been on the road for 5 months now, and Slovenia and Croatia were definitely two of our highlights. The Julian Alps were quite spectacular, and the Croatian islands just gorgeous. Sadly we’ve left all the warm weather behind just now, and are in Norway, which is a little dreich just now, as we would say in Scotland! Apparently they had the warmest weather for 47 years two weeks ago, but now it’s back to rain. We’ll definitely return to Croatia, maybe even later this year. There’s a cracking campsite on Cres if you’re still down that way. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Sounds fab. Yes we’re still in Croatia, just outside Krk. Staying at a lovely quaint campsite with 8 plots - it’s relatively cheap at €21/night all inclusive including WiFi (considering some of the neighbouring sites cost in excess of €50/night!).
Will definitely look at Crez, if you can advise the campsite name would be appreciated!
Enjoy Norway, hopefully the weather picks up for you!

Hi James,
It was called Camping Kovacine. We took a slightly more expensive pitch on a terrace looking out to sea, but in April we were getting ACSI discount. There is a cycle path or walk into Cres Town, which is lovely. Nice bars / restaurants. The campsite also has a nice pizzeria by the beach, and a bar looking out over the sea by the lighthouse. It was pretty quiet when we were there, but I imagine it will be a lot busier now. The wash blocks were spotlessly clean also. But quite a big site. The advantage of the beach side pitches is that you look to sea, rather than other campers!
