I have a white and cherry red 680.The silicone where the high roof attaches to the van has become quite mouldy.
What can I clean it with to reduce the mould?

We don’t have a GC so it’s hard to visualise. Maybe take a couple of photos to show the issue?

I would avoid using the standard mould cleaning products you might use on say a shower enclosure, or at least carefully check the ingredients. They’re normally quite aggressive, with things like ammonia in them - pretty bad for paintwork! I was wondering if it would be possible to clean off the existing bead with detergent, and then overlay with a good mould resistant silicone? Some sealants come with a 15 year guarantee - expensive but effective.

Baking soda and vinegar are the least likely to damage anything. Dilute bleach is a stronger and more effective treatment but don't leave it on the sealant.

Autoglym make specific products for Caravans etc which will do the job.
