Not sure if you've seen this on the news, but this could be good for campsite / off grid locations where normal postcodes prove a bit clunky. It's called what3words, and I've given it a go over the last day or so (no associated with it in anyway, just love the concept).
The idea is that the world is divided into 3m x 3m grids, then referenced by a set of three unique words. You type these three words into the app, and hey-presto, you have the location on your phone. This may be useful where postcodes take you to the wrong location, or you want to share a great location off grid that doesn't have a postcode.
There is an app, and from that app you can go to Google maps for car navigation. I'd say it works best where postcodes don't....clever stuff...
