A yesteryear favourite: retrofit parking sensors

I recently bought a 2007 Cali SE, made before parking sensors were standard, when men were men and tailgates were dented, and I'm wanting to fit/get fitted rear sensors.
Searching forum threads on the topic most are many years old, so despite the question being increasingly obsolete, I'm hoping for some up to date experience from members. The Cali actually does have sensors fitted in the rear bumpers, retrofitted I suspect (given the unbranded instruction book left in the van) but the wires have been snipped off each sensor, I imagine in sheer frustration when faulty by the previous owner. The Cali doesn't have a dashboard screen that might graphically display sensor information that newer vans have, and I'm quite happy with an aural signal, as another car I drive has. So, a system linked to the reversing lights without the need to involve the dashboard should suffice.
Can anyone give an up to date recommendation on what to buy? I live in the far northwestern Highlands of Scotland, very many miles away from any specialist fitters of such things (nearest VW dealer is 85 miles away) so first thoughts are DIY. Thanks!

Fitted a system like this on a Landrover Defender. Worked well.

And this type on a Mazda RX8 as I didn’t want to drill holes in the bumper,

There is a thread on here somewhere for a wireless reversing camera. Less hassle and a neater job. You should find it using the search function.

Hi. I bought a cheap set off the web and fitted to a previous conversion. Pretty straight forward but internal panels were easily removable - not sure I’d want to take panels off to fit and make neat In a Cali.

Thanks for the replies, folks. Sorry for the delay in responding - we couldn't help ourselves and had to go away and try out the Cali on a short tour of parts of the Highlands we know well, but usually only when rushing past to get to somewhere else! I'll look into the recommendations - thanks again.
