After only 100 days from placing the order, on Thursday we collected my wife’s Ocean from the ubiquitous Eurovans. A mere 346 miles from home, we did split the return journey with a stopover at Poolsworth Country Park. We’re very impressed with the 204 engine; it returned an indicated 48-50mpg despite having to get a wiggle on to arrive at the campsite before check-in closed.
There’s lots of features to become more familiar with - not least of which is the coasting function of the DSG gearbox - but we’re very much looking forward to a trip with friends in a few weeks time.
The first ‘mod’ I’d like to make is to change the number plates in order to remove the post-Brexit ‘U.K.’ and flag; it’s a constant reminder of the national self-harm inflicted upon me...
