Proper bikes have pedals....
We might have to start our own thread and leave the leather clad bikers to itProper bikes have pedals....
Stay here, Mondays & Wednesday evenings it's cycling for me; all through the winter. In fact, winter is best; too many walkers and runners out in the summer! We might have to start our own thread and leave the leather clad bikers to it
Good man, got myself sorted with a good group for serious winter training rides and then crocked my back. Got all my winter kit now though so sorted for next year. Do prefer the summer though. More heat the better.Stay here, Mondays & Wednesday evenings it's cycling for me; all through the winter. In fact, winter is best; too many walkers and runners out in the summer!
True, but the engine on mine is knackeredProper bikes have pedals....
I mean real bikers, not bicycles !
I am looking at treating myself for the summer, possibly having a mid life crisis, looking to spend around £8,000
Just sold my Vmax (1700 Gen2 ) and HD Breakout - currently looking at a Kawasaki ZZR 1400 or tempted to wait for the new turbo Hayabusa - anybody own a ZZR?
What do you mean REAL bikers! We cyclists are the real bikers, have to use our own power not rely on an engine, that's real biking!I mean real bikers, not bicycles !

Tut tut you should be driving your Cali!Fireblade in my garage, just did 600 miles in Wales last weekend comfy for a sportsbike...
So will you wish you were in the Cali at any time?9 day tour of Scotland coming up soon.
You're absolutely right there - I work for a Honda dealership and the latest ETA for our stock is now 2017! Ridiculous!Ah - an Africa Twin in the list - I want one of the new ones but sadly there are none to be had at present
I used to own a ZZR but it was a mere 600! Was still the fastest bike in its class though back in 1992! Broke the speed limit twice over on that thing ;-)Just sold my Vmax (1700 Gen2 ) and HD Breakout - currently looking at a Kawasaki ZZR 1400 or tempted to wait for the new turbo Hayabusa - anybody own a ZZR?
If you have £8K that will give you a massive choice used, or a good deposit new. There are so many cool bikes out in the last few years. Go and have a sit on a few... What you choose depends how often, how far (and how fast/comfy) you want to go! I had a 2003 Fireblade for 10 years, then sold it for a naked sportsbike. Didn't suit me so now back on a new Fireblade. No right answer, just don't rush into it, gets expensive!
Aaah, a fellow Buell owner! Not many of us!Mmm. ridden to India and back, then cargo ship to Buenos Aires and rode up to New York all on the same G650X, both tips added up to 55k miles.
Just got back from a 4000 mile trip round Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand but that was on scooters !

I'd steer clear of the BMW singles as a road bike personally.
On the owned list front,
2 x Fireblades
GSXR 750 (which I raced for a few seasons)
KTM SuperDuke (my favourite)
TZ 250 ( again race bike)
RGV 250
2 x Buells, S1L & X1
ZX6R
ZX10R
G650X

This was Anglesey today, that's Point Lynas lighthouse in the distance (and I think Bigmac off here owns the caravan park on the left.View attachment 13917
Porth Amlwch Harbour, good place to visit in your Cali
