Any bikers on here?

We might have to start our own thread and leave the leather clad bikers to it
Stay here, Mondays & Wednesday evenings it's cycling for me; all through the winter. In fact, winter is best; too many walkers and runners out in the summer!

Good man, got myself sorted with a good group for serious winter training rides and then crocked my back. Got all my winter kit now though so sorted for next year. Do prefer the summer though. More heat the better.

I'm a bit past anything serious, just like to try to keep fit and have a social ride. Anything on two wheels! In fact anything with wheels!

Nice AT. I did have a look at the new one when I found it had been "resurrected" but I just like my GSA too much.

Trying to get back out on the bike. Lycra at the moment is off the agenda. My rides revolve around Zwift island.

Currently riding a CRF250L Honda, which is a great little commuting bike, good to see a number of bikers in the cali community.

Just sold my Vmax (1700 Gen2 ) and HD Breakout - currently looking at a Kawasaki ZZR 1400 or tempted to wait for the new turbo Hayabusa - anybody own a ZZR?

+1 R1200GS, try one, you may never look back (apart from a few life savers)

Nope but I got nicked for speeding on one in NZ!

I've got a Honda PSX 125, but I've not got further than taking my CBT at the moment. Being only 5ft makes handling a bigger bike seem maybe too challenging for me. The scooter is good fun though!

I mean real bikers, not bicycles !

I am looking at treating myself for the summer, possibly having a mid life crisis, looking to spend around £8,000
What do you mean REAL bikers! We cyclists are the real bikers, have to use our own power not rely on an engine, that's real biking!

Fireblade in my garage, just did 600 miles in Wales last weekend comfy for a sportsbike...

If you have £8K that will give you a massive choice used, or a good deposit new. There are so many cool bikes out in the last few years. Go and have a sit on a few... What you choose depends how often, how far (and how fast/comfy) you want to go! I had a 2003 Fireblade for 10 years, then sold it for a naked sportsbike. Didn't suit me so now back on a new Fireblade. No right answer, just don't rush into it, gets expensive!

Just sold my BMW 1150r. I have 3 vespa's including a lovely new Gts 300.
So, I've been a biker and still ride scooters.

Tut tut you should be driving your Cali! ;)

This was Anglesey today, that's Point Lynas lighthouse in the distance (and I think Bigmac off here owns the caravan park on the left.IMG_0875.jpg

Porth Amlwch Harbour, good place to visit in your Cali

Triumph Tiger 800 for me at the present. Good bike with a great engine. Love it. Suits my needs in a bike. Not too expensive and quick enough. Decent touring bike too. 9 day tour of Scotland coming up soon.

Ah - an Africa Twin in the list - I want one of the new ones but sadly there are none to be had at present :(
You're absolutely right there - I work for a Honda dealership and the latest ETA for our stock is now 2017! Ridiculous!

I used to own a ZZR but it was a mere 600! Was still the fastest bike in its class though back in 1992! Broke the speed limit twice over on that thing ;-)

I'm a petrol head through and through, but definitely a biker first - 4 wheels have always come second. Health problems have meant it is often impossible to ride now though, so my Cali is incredibly important, taking the place of my bikes as my 'weekend escape'. I do still own four 2-wheelers though! A Harley-Davidson Night Train, Buell XB12S Lightning, a very rare classic Suzuki and a Honda PCX scooter....that's as well as the Cali and a car....It's a very expensive addiction being a petrol head!;)

Mmm. ridden to India and back, then cargo ship to Buenos Aires and rode up to New York all on the same G650X, both tips added up to 55k miles.
Just got back from a 4000 mile trip round Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand but that was on scooters !

I'd steer clear of the BMW singles as a road bike personally.

On the owned list front,
2 x Fireblades
GSXR 750 (which I raced for a few seasons)
KTM SuperDuke (my favourite)
TZ 250 ( again race bike)
RGV 250
2 x Buells, S1L & X1
ZX6R
ZX10R
G650X
Aaah, a fellow Buell owner! Not many of us!
