Assistance down under! Auxiliary heater malfunction.

Hi,

I would appreciate any advice!

I Imported my 2017 California Beach to Australia last year. (Currently Oz doesn't have the California Beach as a model yet!)

The auxiliary heater has been playing up since winter started and it's getting cold down in Tassie! The heater starts up, but then cuts out after approximately 3 mins. It will work whilst the engine is running and the car is moving.

I took it into the VW garage thinking they would be able to sort it, but they have failed to find the fault - unfamiliarity I guess.

Does anyone have any advice or even some pointers for the garage?

Possibly low voltage if it runs whilst the engine is running.

Does it work if the van is on EHU

Not tried with the EHU - don't have the appropriate plug yet

If it works on EHU it would indicate a leisure battery issue.

Measure your battery and see what it drops down to when the heater stops.
