Awning difficulties

just picked up our brand new Cali, loving it, but could do with some help.
the awning legs do not want to stay up! Have looked at the manual but the small piece of plastic feels like it is going to break if I force it into the position it says. Any pointers please. Thanks John

I made the exactly the same post the 1st time we used our awning , advise was thats how they are pulled them into positions and they locked fine got easier with use. Ours did not snap but I was sure they were going to

We had the same concerns. Hold them firmly, close to the pivot and open them to lock. There are stiff but don't break.

Same here. First time, very stiff but get easier with use. Just hold close to the pivot and they will require a bit of force at first. Seems to be a flexible rather than brittle plastic.
